Globe Wireless for example is offering crew e-mail and sms solutions in their messaging suite. You can get it with Virtual Scratch Cards. Every seafarer will get a mobile number to receive also messages via SMS or E-Mail.

Global Technology have a package called Mail4Crew where the crewman can send and receive e-mails and SMS but can also send a postal letter (a lot of friends and relatives do not have e-mail). They can take their e-mail address from ship to ship and also use whilst on leave. Uses $25 scratchcard system (virtual or real) and presently works on over 250 ships.

Greetings, my name is Jennie and I have an idea that is innovative and relatively new - its called a Moodle - Getsmartmoodle plainly put and its a start-up web application that I have been developing over the last 4 months. Getsmartmoodle is modular in design and capable of integrating other applications into its framework -

applications such as Google Apps (Moodle-GoogleApps) / This will integrate Google Apps services with Moodle. The Moodle administrators can manage gApps accounts within Moodle and all the Moodle users will be able to access gApps services within Moodle (i.e eMail via SSO, ect..) and most Google Apps single member services can go up to 500 emails for free .. additional email plan costs I am not positive about.. and

Getsmartmoodle is capable of plugging in Video Web Conferencing also .. as well as learning modules

I only just saw you discussion last year regarding crew mail and sms. Plain Sailing have developed a private crew sms solution based on their VIM Vessel Information Mmanagement service.

Hi Everyone !!
After testing almost all available software for crew email and come with the problems still exist , I read few days on vizada web site that Skyfile latest version almost , says that is does what all the others still facing as a problem i.e. no administration is required , exchanging can be initiate by the crew and many more .
Nevertheless I will test and revert .
In the meantime please advise if Anyone have already test the latest version and if it does what it says or not .
